My name is Emma, the founder and creator behind Mayflower and Lily.
I set up my business after growing, cutting and arranging the flowers for my own wedding in 2015.
I love flowers and I wanted complete creative control over my big day. It took a lot of practice, hard work (and some tears) as I do not have the natural 'green fingers'.
It broke my heart when I had to throw away all of my wedding flowers before the weekend was over, after all of that hard work!
After 10 years as a Secondary Science Teacher and the overwhelming urge to do something that I really loved and something that would allow the flexibility needed for young family life, I took the leap in 2020 and chose Artificial Flowers as my niche.
I now work with couples to help bring their visions for their wedding day to life with Floristry and Venue Styling and I can honestly say that I have never had a job that I enjoy as much as I do now. I feel very lucky!
I am the biggest romantic out there and I love all things wedding related so working with couples who are planning their weddings makes me so happy and I feel very privileged .
